Pic of new design for Jackman FacebookYeah, with a title like that you know I’m feeling a little punchy. It’s 3 am here in the Hub of the Universe, and I just spent like 12 or 13 hours redesigning this blog without even breaking for dinner or the gym. (I get a little obsessive when I’m working on geek stuff). Anyway, welcome to the all-new JESSEJACKMAN.XXX! The mothership, TitanMen.net, had already switched over to the new theme, as had my buddies François Sagat, Dario Beck, George Ce, and Nick Prescott… so I figured it was my turn. It’s based off of the Enfold theme for WordPress which Titan has kindly bought for all their exclusives. It’s more streamlined than the old site, and supposedly looks pretty kick-ass on mobile devices too (although I haven’t tested that very much yet).

There are still a few kinky bits to work out — some of the old posts may not look quite right — but if anything seems horribly wrong please leave a comment either on this post or over on Facebook and I’ll do my best to fix it. I should warn you, though, that my CSS skills are atrociouCSS (see what I did there?) so it may take me a little while. But who doesn’t like a little edging?

God I need sleep.

My first article for the Huffington Post!

My head is still spinning… I’m now a contributor for the Huffington Post! A few weeks ago, when I posted a photo to my Facebook account of my husband Dirk Caber and me sharing a loving kiss, we became unexpected lightning rods for a firestorm of hatred and bigotry. And when our photo was unaccountably banned from Facebook a day later, we were suddenly the center of a lot of attention… but almost all of it was positive! The outpouring of support we felt was absolutely tremendous.

After the photo was restored by Facebook and our lives started to return to normal, the editor of HuffPost’s Gay Voices section invited me to write about the ordeal. Dirk and I worked on the article for several weeks, and today it got published! It’s even being highlighted as one of the “featured blog posts” on the main Gay Voices page! Dirk and I are absolutely beaming with pride. But I’m even more thrilled to know that the message of love and tolerance that we’re trying to spread has now found a wider audience. My heart feels like it’s not large enough to contain the joy I feel right now. So, to each and every one of you reading this post, thank you from of the bottom of my heart for your incredible support. Together, we will let the world know that love really does conquer all.
